Applications are sought from members of the public, service users and carers to join NCEPOD as a core group of lay and patient representatives working on many of the NCEPOD studies. Developing a detailed understanding of NCEPOD and our methods you will be able to provide the ongoing patient and public voice at NCEPOD and support individual, study-specific patients.
As examples, but not exclusively, tasks would include:
- Helping develop study protocols
- Participating in Study Advisory Groups
- Reviewing the data
- Providing a lay and patient perspective on the reports.
The successful candidates will be asked to attend the NCEPOD office in London as required but on average about twice per month.
NCEPOD will reimburse all travel expenses.

Part-Time Senior Administrative Officer
Contract: Fixed term until 31st December 2022
Salary: £24,000 per annum pro rata
A vacancy has arisen to be involved in a new study which will look at the quality of care received by people who died in prison. The successful candidate will join a small team undertaking the collection and analysis of confidential datasets.
The role would include collecting and inputting data, ensuring it is complete and anonymised after receipt. This will involve direct communication with data providers in prisons and in healthcare settings. A job description can be found here and the advert downloaded here.
