Aim:
To identify areas for improvement in the quality of care for patients presenting to hospital with one or more rib fracture(s).

Participation:
All hospitals in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Jersey, where patients are treated for rib fractures.

Patient identifier spreadsheet
We will identify a sample of patients who presented to hospital between 1st January 2025 and 30th June 2025 with one or more rib fracture. A spreadsheet will be disseminated to our Local Reporters to populate with basic details about patients who fit the criteria to participate in the study. More information to follow once Confidentiality Advisory Group (CAG) approval has been received.
