Surgery in Children
Data Collection for study - 1st April 2008 to 31st March 2010

Background
NCEPOD has begun work on a new study looking at surgery in children.
Data will be collected across a two year period from 1st April 2008 - 31st March 2010.
Data Collection for this study is now underway, all Local Reporters should have received either a request for data or an email asking for confirmation as to whether surgery on children is carried out within the Trust. The timeframe for inclusion in the study is deaths between 1st April 2008 - 31st March 2010; the data will be collected in a number of batches throughout this time period, and the deadlines for submitting this data are as follows:

There are three questionnaires related to this study:
- Organisation questionnaire – to gain aspects of organisational care at your site that is related to this study.

- Surgical questionnaire – we will only be sending this questionnaire to surgeons to gain information about related cases for this study. To download and print this questionnaire please click here.
